The Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is unveiling its first round of renovations, which involved an overhaul of all 452 waterfront guestrooms and the onsite restaurant by Fort Collins, Colorado-based Oglesby Design. This first phase is part of an overall transformation that will rebrand the property as the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton, Myrtle Beach Oceanfront.
The redesigned guestrooms in the resort’s Live Oak and Palmetto Towers each now feature private balconies with panoramic ocean views. New ebony wood furnishing and a fresh palette of ocean blue and gray lend themselves to the clean-lined coastal design.
The newly named Southern Tide Bar & Grille features a casual aesthetic enhanced with driftwood finishes, coastal hues, and a wall of windows overlooking the historic 1,060-foot-long Springmaid Pier and the Atlantic Ocean.

The resort’s 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting space will also be receiving an upgrade during the next phase of renovations, and the central pool area will soon offer private cabanas and a pool bar, scheduled for completion later this summer.
The Springmaid Beach Resort is home to six pools, a fitness center, expansive lawns, and mini golf.
