Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has debuted the St. Regis brand in Dubai with a new hotel owned by Al Habtoor Group. The company plans to double its Middle East portfolio by 2019.
St. Regis Dubai sits within Al Habtoor City—a fully integrated urban resort that will feature two additional Starwood locations under the W Hotels and Westin brands, along with three residential towers, and convenient access to the nearby Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Dubai International Airport, and Al Maktoum International Airport.
The building boasts French Beaux Arts-style architecture and a neo-classical design in homage to the St. Regis New York, the brand’s original hotel that opened in 1904. A a large chandelier made of approximately 1,200 pieces of hand-cut crystal welcomes guests and illuminates the property’s grand staircase.
The 234 guestrooms, which include 52 suites, feature a bright and airy ambiance with chandeliers and marble bathrooms. Situated within the hotel’s central dome, an approximately 9,827-square-foot, two-story Royal suite features three bedrooms, a rooftop plunge pool, living room, dining room, study, and lounge area.
Debuting early next year, the one-bedroom Bentley suite will feature leather and wood veneer finishes in reference to the Bentley Mulsanne car.
Eight F&B outlets are offered including the modern Brasserie Quartier; J&G Steakhouse; the intimate outdoor venue Roof Gardens; the 1930s-inspired Cafe Fleuri; Le Patio, a rustic courtyard café surrounded by olive trees; the St. Regis Bar, which is accented by a vintage Bentley-inspired mural; the Champagne Lounge; and Sidra with its uninterrupted garden views.
Additional amenities include a fitness center, two rooftop pools, a private helipad, six meeting rooms, the approximately 8,611-square-foot Astor ballroom, and the brand’s signature Iridium Spa, which is equipped with six treatment rooms, two hammams, and separate wet areas with steam room and sauna facilities.
