Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of a dual-branded Aloft and Element hotel development in Boston’s Seaport district. The 330-room Aloft and 180-room Element Boston Seaport, designed by locally based Elkus Manfredi Architects, is located directly across from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
Owned and developed by a partnership between Ares Management-controlled funds and CV Properties, the $158 million development occupies a 5.2-acre parcel of land leased from the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
The 13-story Aloft Boston Seaport offers loft-like guestrooms and nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Amenities include re:fuel by Aloft, a fitness center, a Splash pool, and a W XYZ bar. The lobby will host the Live at Aloft Hotel concert series, which features emerging artists and local bands.
The eight-story Element Boston Seaport offers light filled studios with spa-inspired bathrooms, along with 1,000 square feet of meeting space, a saline pool, and a fitness center. Amenities include the complimentary Bikes to Borrow program, as well as the signature RISE breakfast, and RELAX evening reception in the lobby.
This is the second Aloft-Element dual hotel development in the Boston area, joining Aloft and Element Lexington, which opened in 2008.
