Hotel June, the latest property from Proper Hospitality, is set to debut in spring 2020 in Los Angeles. The forthcoming concept will be the first in a rollout in the brand’s expansion in the U.S. and abroad.
Venice, California-based design practice Studio Collective will oversee the design of the inaugural property, which will reflect the authentic spirit of the Golden State. A modern and approachable aesthetic will blend contemporary coastal California with classic midcentury-style touches to pay homage to the local architecture of the American modern architect Welton Beckett. Natural woods, native fabrics, handmade tiles, and locally sourced artwork will infuse a bright, localized flair that instills a summery sensibility, while a handful of F&B spaces will debut onsite as well.
