The Waterfront Hotel has returned to the vibrant neighborhood of Jack London Square in Oakland, California following its multimillion-dollar update. Locally based design firm Studio Hatch spearheaded the renovation of the 145-room property, which is now comprised of revitalized accommodations and public spaces.
Cozy and inviting, the redesigned interior is ripe with nautical accents including its maritime-inspired color and material palettes. Embracing a backdrop of panoramic views, interiors are adorned with pale blue tones alongside light wood as well as rust and coral tones. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a marine-influenced chandelier composed of white ropes and is installed beneath a high wooden ceiling evocative of a sailboat. Meanwhile, in the lobby, custom wallcoverings feature a pattern reminiscent of water beads. A fluted white oak desk is also included in the space, embellished with pale blue penny tiles and wave-like curves.
The onsite collection of abstract artwork is curated by artist Shushi as well.
