Casa Bonay, the independent hotel property in Barcelona’s Dreta de L’Eixample neighborhood, is set to introduce a new cultural and events space this January. Positioned beside the existing hotel structure, the multifunctional venue will be crafted by Brooklyn-based firm Studio Tack, which led the design of the hotel.
Housed within a neoclassical volume, the space will accommodate up to 300 guests. The layout will allow for reconfiguration with six mobile monoliths that will be adapted as needed to host programming from screenings to lectures and yoga classes. Uniformity of materials will also allow the interior to serve as a versatile backdrop for a variety of needs. Tan and cream textiles and darker accents will complement rust-colored walls for a sense of tranquility. In addition to the main space, the volume will also feature a restaurant, coffee shop, cocktail bar, and rooftop area.
