Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, Surf & Sand Laguna Beach has emerged from a sweeping transformation that touches every corner of the oceanfront resort.
From redesigned guestrooms and culinary venues to an all-new spa, the revamp showcases a refined take on the coastal California experience.
Redesigned lobby and guestrooms
The new design balances classical Mediterranean architecture with a contemporary Southern California sensibility. The arrival experience is defined by a breezy, open-air lobby lounge, where curated works by artists like Dale Chihuly, Eric Zener, and Ran Ortner line the walls.
Throughout, the interiors marry tactile richness with natural light and sweeping views.
Surf & Sand’s completely reimagined guestrooms and suites each offer a private balcony with ocean views. Inside the accommdations, sun-drenched interiors feature bespoke furnishings, Italian marble accents, and thoughtful tech integration. Bathrooms are bright and spa-like, with many boasting deep soaking tubs positioned to overlook the surf.
Signature restaurant Splashes
Splashes, the resort’s signature restaurant led by chef Ron Fougeray, debuts a lighter aesthetic and an immersive connection to the ocean. A striking custom Chihuly chandelier composed of hand-blown glass forms inspired by sea life anchors the dining room.
Adjacent spaces include a refreshed bar, Bella Vista Terrace, and Pacific Perk café.
A new spa at Surf & Sand Laguna Beach
The all-new Aquaterra Spa offers a holistic menu of treatments in eight tranquil rooms, including a couple’s suite, while daily beach yoga and wellness programming round out the resort’s commitment to mind-body balance.
The resort also features 20,000 square feet of reimagined indoor and outdoor spaces, each with a view of the Pacific.
