Swissôtel the Bosphorus, Istanbul has unveiled 198 redesigned guestrooms and suites in its west wing, the first stage of its extensive renovation.
Khuan Chew of London-based KCA International conceived a contemporary layout inspired by a fusion of Swiss precision and Old-World Turkish culture. Room textures are based on the cityscape and Dolmabahce Gardens, while floor-to-ceiling windows in each utilize natural light and provide a view of the Bosphorus strait.
Seven loft suites with stone and brick walls, duplex accommodation, and steel staircases are underway, due for completion in May. Full renovations will also include a new restaurant and redesign of the Gaja rooftop and pool opening in spring 2016.
