The Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport in Herndon, Virginia, has introduced its new look following a six month, multimillion-dollar renovation from Maryland-based firms Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) and HVS Design. The property is managed by SharCon Management.
Located two miles from Dulles International Airport, the 327-room hotel’s vestibule, lobby, meeting venues, lounge, guest corridors, and suites each received upgrades. Materials such as stone, glass, metal, and wood appear throughout to give the environment a more modern appeal.
A complex two-story millwork sculpture graces the lobby alongside a variety of textured wood, a floating marble front desk, and a den-inspired lounge with a double-sided stone fireplace. A 24-hour Starbucks café is also available for guests. Enhancements and expansions to the hotel’s fitness center are ongoing, and expected to also embrace the brand’s new contemporary aesthetic.
