Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the Edwin hotel from Vision Hospitality Group has arrived in the Bluff View Arts District of downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. The boutique concept is positioned near the iconic Walnut Street Bridge in a structure designed by local architecture firm PV Designs.
Inspired by the present and future of Chattanooga, the design from Chicago-based design practice the Gettys Group combines warm, worn-in accents with modern details. Vintage-style accents anchor each space alongside bold fabrics and midcentury lighting. More than 75 pieces of artwork from local artists populate the interior. The signature restaurant Whitebird offers farm-to-table fare, while the lobby houses the café concept Provisions. The rooftop bar Whiskey Thief crowns the hotel with views that include the Appalachian Mountains.
Each of the 90 accommodations are designed with regional influences in mind, conveying the natural beauty of the Tennessee River, which also serves as the backdrop. All suites boast record players, while the four Riverfront suites frame sweeping views of the Walnut Street Bridge.
In addition to the hotel spa, Ama, on the ground floor, a fitness center and outdoor plunge pool are housed on the fifth floor.
