The Hoxton, Southwark has launched on the south side of London’s Blackfriars Bridge as the brand’s eighth property. In-house design firm Ennismore Design Studio took cues from the industrial heritage of the London location.
Tiling and textile patterns recall architectural forms typical of London’s south side, while extensive greenery and artwork, such as the floor-to-ceiling gallery wall in the stairwell, populates public areas.
The hotel’s 192 guestrooms boast concrete ceilings and exposed brick walls that contrast velvet ruby-hued headboards. The handmade glassware details in each room pay homage to the site’s history of glassblowing and tannery factories.
Located at the 14th floor, the rooftop seafood concept Seabird is anchored by a marble raw bar set against a backdrop of city views, while all-day concept Albie on the ground floor features an open kitchen, terrazzo tables, and mosaic tiling.
In addition, the brand’s Working From communal workspace will span all six floors and will open onsite in January 2020.
