Marriott International’s Luxury Collection has added the Langley, a Luxury Hotel, Buckinghamshire to its portfolio just outside of London. In the heart of Buckinghamshire’s sprawling Langley Park, the hotel occupies two buildings: a former hunting lodge belonging to a Duke of Marlborough as well as the adjacent, Grade II-listed Brew House from the 18th century.
Both properties were refurbished over the course of six years at the hand of London-based Dennis Irvine Studio.
Situated within a lush garden setting, the main Langley Park House, a grand Palladian mansion, showcases it original design details in a fashion complementary to its refined backdrop. The Duke of Marlborough suite serves as a standout of the building, comprising three bedrooms oriented around a central, octagonal room that overlooks the onsite park and lake. Quirky and cozy spaces are also housed across the second floor, reflective of the storied history of the site. Amenities include the 17,200-square-foot Langley Spa, which is home to a private VIP suite, juniper-wood sauna, amethyst steam room, marble-lined indoor swimming pool, vitality pools, and hammams. A fitness center is also included along with a manicure-pedicure studio, hair salon, spa lounge, and outdoor swimming pool.
Onsite F&B options also include Cedar, the Drawing Room, and the Churchill Bar, which is attached to an extensive, wraparound terrace that frames lake views. In addition to the Winter Garden event spaces, six venues round out the retreat’s 3,335 square feet of meeting and event spaces.
