Sydell Group has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Josiah Citrin to reimagine the F&B offerings at the Line LA. The hotel’s original designer, Venice, California-based Sean Knibb, also oversaw the update of the lobby bar, restaurant spaces, pool deck, and the new dining concept.
Reflective of the California bounty showcased in the menu, the greenhouse restaurant Openaire exudes tranquility with installations of fragrant flora. Located adjacent to the pool on the second floor, the restaurant is anchored by a marble bar, accented with a mirrored backsplash and custom marble crates that display liquor and aperitifs. Burgundy mohair banquettes establish intimate nooks.
Design elements within the lobby and lobby bar have received updates as well in order to accommodate rotating onsite programming. Persian rugs, communal tables, and even a site-specific installation from designer Henry Taylor adorns the space alongside a Poketo mural from artist Brendan Monroe. The ground floor is also home to a branch of the popular Los Angeles chain Alfred Coffee.
