The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami has reopened following a $100 million transformation. The property’s first comprehensive renewal in nearly 25 years marks a new chapter for the storied beachfront escape.
Led by global luxury hospitality developer Gencom and design firms Hart Howerton, DesignAgency, and Chapi Design, the refreshed resort marries Key Biscayne’s natural beauty with the cosmopolitan pulse of Miami.
Drawing from the seaside landscape

Lobby
Spanning 17 acres along pristine shoreline, the redesigned resort draws the outdoors in through floor-to-ceiling windows, open-air architecture, and an island-inspired palette of sun-washed neutrals, limestone, and mangrove wood. Artful finishes, sculptural details, and breezy materiality blur the lines between indoor spaces and the ocean’s horizon.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a luminous lobby defined by soft textures, sculptural lighting, and a new glass façade that frames uninterrupted views of the Atlantic. The space opens to a reflective fountain terrace that stretches toward lush gardens and coastal landscapes, creating a tranquil procession from check-in to shoreline.
The resort’s 421 guestrooms and suites feature bespoke furnishings, calming textures, and sea-inspired palettes that echo sand, sky, and tide. Floor-to-ceiling windows extend the rooms outward as well.
The new Ritz Kids Club introduces a playful counterpart—an imaginative environment with nature-inspired tactile elements and interactive programming designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

Coastal spirit across the F&B venues

Rum Bar
The resort’s culinary experience unfolds across six distinctive dining destinations, each interpreting coastal spirit through its own lens.
Highlights include Luma’s Italian-inspired coastal cuisine; ParalÃa’s Aegean flavors shaped by Greek and Turkish influences; and Rum Bar’s refined take on Caribbean ease and Key Biscayne heritage.
Along the shore, Dune Beach Bar shifts from a relaxed daytime retreat to a lively seaside gathering, while Stefano’s and Scoop bring casual, sun-soaked indulgence to poolside dining.
