The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach has arrived on the island of Oahu following a three-year construction process.
Brooklyn, New York-based Guerin Glass Architects drew influence from the island’s natural elements for the design of the 38-story tower. The front façade reflects the ocean and sky while the opposite side reflects both the mountains and the Honolulu cityscape. A modern, 3D take on traditional Hawaiian bark cloth adorns the tower’s first three floors.
Venice, California-based studio Jon Brent Design infused both social areas and residences with a subdued yet luxurious elegance and contemporary island-deco style. All 307 studio, one-, two-, or three-bedroom residences enjoy ocean views, and are equipped with kitchens and washers and dryers.
A BLT Market now offers locally sourced American cuisine that will appear on menus throughout the resort. September will see the openings of both a Dean & DeLuca gourmet market and Keiji Nakazawa-led eatery Sushi Sho. Other amenities include an eighth-floor infinity pool—the highest in Waikiki—with private cabanas and a premier fitness center designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. A Ritz-Carlton Spa will also debut in September.
