The Rockaway Hotel is set to debut this summer in Rockaway Beach, a popular summertime destination in Queens, New York.
The 84,000-square-foot hotel, crafted by design firm Morris Adjmi Architects, complements the bungalows along the shoreline, while interiors by fellow New York firm Curious Yellow Design draw inspiration from the property’s setting. Materials such as teak, linen, wool, leather, and rattan convey an eclectic, retro ambiance, and a soothing color palette of yellow, blue, and pink tones will further infuses a sense of calm.
Among the onsite F&B options is Margie’s, an 88-seat American concept on the ground floor. The Greenhouse Café will serve as the hotel’s coffee shop and the Rooftop will comprise a 6,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor space that frames panoramic views of Jamaica Bay and the Manhattan skyline.
Each of the 53 accommodations feature ocean or bay views. A crisp, cool palette adorns each of the guestrooms, as well as the Rockaway Hotel’s eight fully furnished extended-stay suites.
