Hong-Kong based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has unveiled the Shangri-La Hotel, Hefei, in China.
Situated between the Yangtze River and Chaohu Lake, the 27-story hotel is inspired by local Hui culture. While Chinese architect Wong & Tung conceived the property, HBA joined with Hong Kong-based LRF Designers for the interiors of all 401 guestrooms. Accommodations feature full-length windows against a beige color palette. Marble-clad bathrooms in the executive and specialty suites include a separate bath, walk-in shower, and TV.
F&B outlets include Chinese restaurant Yang Zi Xuan, which features lattice screens, banquettes, murals, and nine private dining rooms. A glass-encased kitchen provides guests with a theater-style dining experience at Café Wan, while chandeliers illuminate the more causal lobby lounge.
CHI, The Spa, offers two double and five single spa suites, a relaxation lounge, and herbal steam and shower spaces. Additionally, the 24-hour health club includes an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam and sauna room, and a beauty salon.
In addition to eight function rooms, the approximately 15,069-square-foot grand ballroom accommodates up to 900 people with its pillar-less design.
