Crescent Hotels & Resorts will inaugurate a new addition to its Tribute Portfolio with the launch of the Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, DC, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in January 2021. Located in Dupont Circle, the property draws inspiration from its vibrant neighborhood as it immerses guests in their surroundings with accommodations overlooking the stately manors of Embassy Row.
A Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic crafted by Virginia-based Baskervill will characterize the hotel’s public spaces and 231 guestrooms and suites. “The design concept is really meant to be experienced holistically—a layered story told within each distinctive space,” says Baskervill interior designer Hannah Markham. “There are statement pieces—sculptural elements in the lobby as well as art-inspired fixtures and furnishings—that are meant to compliment and draw attention to the architectural detailing.”
Simple, minimalist spaces will be punctuated with notes of pink and blue as well as blonde wood tones. Arched passages, custom furnishings, and a rotation of eclectic artwork will further distinguish the hotel, and abundant daylight will be injected across the property via floor-to-ceiling windows in the expansive lobby. Beyond three flexible meeting and event spaces, the Ven at Embassy Row will promote socializing through features such as a digital light installation that reinterprets the Northern Lights four times daily as part of a guided meditation.
Spring 2021 will mark the opening of the hotel’s rooftop pool and bar and a versatile outdoor space equipped to host yoga classes. An additional F&B option is set to join the lineup soon after as well.
