The Whitehall hotel in downtown Houston will celebrate this week the grand opening of its new outdoor bar, Part & Parcel. Previously the Crowne Plaza Houston Downtown, the hotel reopened in April under its former historic name following a $5 million renovation by Welton Beckett and Associates, becoming the second property to join the Sotherly Hotels portfolio. Atlanta-based firm Green Olive Media oversaw the Whitehall’s rebranding efforts.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-based design firm Resort Interiors oversaw the majority of Part & Parcel’s design, from layout to lighting and furnishings. The new eatery features custom pergolas, colorful accent seating, and landscaping illuminated with vintage-style fixtures. Misters and oscillating fans will keep summer crowds cool while industrial-strength gas and electric heaters will provide heat during colder months. A raised stage area will feature live music twice a week.
