Three Ducks, a boutique hotel in Westhampton Beach, is set to open this summer on Long Island, New York.
The debut project from designer-developers Randall Stone and Elizabeth Bakhash of Three Ducks Hospitality, the 12-room property is a redevelopment of the 70-year-old Westhampton Seabreeze Motel on a 1.6-acre site.
“We instantly recognized the potential here and jumped at the chance to create something truly special for visitors and locals alike,” says Stone.
The Three Ducks experience
The hotel will be organized into three distinct areas: the Barn, the Guest House, and the Gardens.
The Barn will serve as the property’s central hub, offering breakfast, a Dahlia farmstand, and a market featuring local goods.
Retaining its original 12 rooms, the Guest House will introduce vaulted ceilings, built-in window benches, and a material palette comprising handmade clay tile, wood flooring, and light blue custom cabinetry. “We were drawn to textures that evoke the feeling of wandering through a garden,” says Bakhash.
The land, once barren, will be transformed into a vibrant landscape with meandering paths, wildflower meadows, private gardens, and a central fire pit for communal gatherings.
Three Ducks will offer year-round programming—from birdwatching in the spring to flower arranging in the fall—while partnerships with local businesses will provide access to dining, cultural events, golf clubs, and beaches.
