Two Roads Hospitality has announced plans to launch new hotel properties in the town of Oceanside in southern California. The forthcoming units are not yet named, but will operate as Joie de Vivre and Destination Hotels properties, respectively. The 2.75-acre project is slated for completion by early 2020.
Two Roads will herald the arrival of a 160-room outpost as part of its Joie de Vivre brand. Designed by Napa, California-based firm Shopworks, the hotel will boast accommodations that nearly all overlook the ocean. A spacious lobby will welcome guests, while amenities like a signature restaurant, onsite coffee house, café, and market will also be included. An 11,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor rooftop pool and bar will crown the structure, and more than 3,000 square feet of retail will open on street level. In addition to a sprawling fitness center, the hotel will also house a flexible function space equipped with a fireplace and an outdoor patio endowed with fire pits, a courtyard, and a public garden.
San Diego-based firm Bill Bocken Architecture and Interior Design will handle the design of the Destination Hotels property. Home to 226 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will feature a signature eatery, luxury spa, library, and an indoor-outdoor bar and lounge. An elevated, 9,000-square-foot pool deck will also be outfitted, along with expansive indoor-outdoor meeting and event spaces.
