Marriott’s Autograph Collection has announced the addition of two new locations in Germany from Roomers hotels, part of the Gekko Group. The opening of the Roomers Baden-Baden and Roomers Munich hotels later this year will expand the collection’s portfolio of German properties to four locations.
Set to open in August, the 130-room Roomers Baden-Baden is designed by by Milan-based architect Piero Lissoni, and is positioned as the city’s first luxury lifestyle hotel. Guests are invited to enjoy both the onsite Pan-Asian restaurant moriki and the lounge bar, which features a rooftop garden, an infinity pool, and views of the Black Forest. The nearly 5,400-square-foot spa will overlook the city and include a hammam, sauna, and steam bath.
The 281-guestroom Roomers Munich will offer boutique characteristics alongside both contemporary and traditional touches. Amsterdam-based design firm concrete has envisioned a lobby that houses an upscale, dark-toned lounge with contrasting brass detailing. A spa will provide five treatment rooms, daybeds, a bar, and an indoor pool with a cinema screen. Owned by the Entourage Group, the onsite contemporary Japanese restaurant IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar will show off natural wooden elements and dark colors, as well as a stylish bar. With almost 9,700 square feet of flexible meeting space, the Roomer Munich will accommodate up to 500 guests across eight conference rooms and outdoor areas. The hotel is slated to open in December.
