Viceroy Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will enter the Washington, DC market for the first time as it takes over management of two properties, the Donovan Hotel DC and the Mason & Rook Hotel DC, beginning in July.
The Donovan Hotel’s sleek, modern design will receive a refresh at the hand of Seattle-based firm Dawson Design Group later this year. The 193-room property will re-emerge as the Viceroy Urban Retreats upon completion.
Located in the city’s vibrant 14th Street corridor, Mason & Rook comprises 178 guestrooms, including 18 suites. The former apartment building is also home to a pool deck, rooftop bar, and Radiator restaurant. The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation this summer and is expected to return as the Viceroy Washington DC in early 2020.
