The Villa Brown Jerusalem has debuted in the Holy City as the newest addition to the Brown Hotels portfolio. A restored private residence, the ornate concept sits in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City with designs from locally based architects Galit Shifman Bar-Natan and Michal Cohen Magen. Two new floors were added during the extensive renovation.
The lobby, restaurant, underground bar, spa, outdoor spaces, and accommodations are each furnished in deep, warm hues as well as soft textiles and fine vintage accessories to capture both the signature Brown Hotels aesthetic as well as 19th-century Jerusalem opulence. Appointed with jewel-toned elements, the property merges Neoclassical and Ottoman details with contemporary influences, evidenced through velvety red, emerald, and mauve hues. Century-old walls of exposed stone are maintained, paying homage to Jerusalem’s timeless architecture.
Amenities include a garden bistro-café as well as an al fresco brunch veranda and a subterranean Cave Bar outfitted within a former cistern. The rooftop is home to the onsite spa, an open-air Jacuzzi, and a terrace and lounge. A library and meeting facilities are also included.
