W Hotels and Opry Entertainment Group have reintroduced the W Austin, following a multimillion-dollar renovation led by Atlanta-based BLUR Workshop.
The redesign breathes new life into the property’s public spaces, guestrooms, and F&B offerings, reinforcing its connection to Austin’s music scene and natural beauty.

Serenade
At the heart of the refresh is the reimagined Living Room, which is anchored by a sculptural gold bar inspired by the fluid curves of a trumpet. The venue shifts from a serene daytime retreat to a dynamic nightlife hub.
The hotel’s new dining concepts include American brasserie Serenade, 2nd & Roast coffee shop, and Blue Room, an intimate cocktail bar featuring a moody palette of midnight blue, gold accents, and natural wood.
Guestrooms at W Austin

Premier guestroom
The 251 guestrooms—including 32 suites—have been upgraded with rich textures and bold hues that reflect Austin’s musical heritage and the tree-lined shores of Lady Bird Lake. Deep green tones and natural materials create a sense of tranquility, while concert photography by longtime Austin City Limits photographer Scott Newton serves as a nod to the city’s legendary live music culture.
“W Austin embodies our signature, unconventional approach to luxury, offering an experience as vibrant as the city itself,” says George Fleck, senior vice president and brand leader, W Hotels. “Known as the ‘Live Music Capital of the World,’ Austin has long been a pinnacle in the music scene, and W Austin captures that energy, mirroring our brand’s shared passion for music and celebrating both emerging and established artists.”
