The Malibu Beach Inn has unveiled its revamp by Los Angeles-based designer Waldo Fernandez. Custom pieces complement the refurbishments of both the interiors and exterior of the Pacific Coast Highway-located hotel.
In collaboration with fellow Los Angeles designer Tommy Clements, Fernandez established a clean look to accompany the property’s coastal landscape of the property. Remodeled spaces—such as the onsite Carbon Beach Club eatery and reception area—now include European oak floors, raw rift white oak paneling, fresh white walls, natural fiber fabrics, and contemporary lighting. Both spaces align with the upcoming guestroom design, bearing abundant teak, oak, and natural fibers. Palettes also draw influence from the landscape, comprising blue, taupe, and other earth tones.
Currently at work renovating the hotel’s 47 guestrooms and suites, Fernandez’s redesign will be completed by the end of 2016.
