The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has debuted as the brand’s first new build on the West Coast and its second hotel in California. The 119 guestrooms and 51 suites are spread across 12 stories with Art Deco-influenced designs from Paris-based Pierre-Yves Rochon and his eponymous firm. The design of the exterior architecture is a collaboration among Pierre-Yves Rochon Inc., Perkins+Will, and Gensler.
The triple-height lobby greets visitors with a contemporary Art Deco design, while handpainted murals, custom crystal chandeliers, and elegant Lalique installations exude luxury. Furniture is upholstered in tranquil tones of celadon, taupe, and white to offset ornate artwork. All 170 rooms embrace a contemporary aesthetic inspired by Hollywood glamour of the 1930s and ’40s. Each guestroom is equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to oversized private balconies.
Three eateries from French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten have opened onsite, while the rooftop pooldeck, the largest of its kind in Beverly Hills, is appointed with a swimming pool, VIP cabanas, and a lounge area with panoramic views. The hotel is also home to 6,300 square feet of meeting space, including two ballrooms.
