Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts—part of Hilton’s portfolio of brands—has announced the signing of its first property in Costa Rica. Slated to debut in 2025, the Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste will immerse visitors in the tropical locale across 190 guestrooms and 25 branded residences.
“Hilton has always been committed to serving any guest, for any travel need, anywhere in the world, and we’re thrilled to expand our presence with the first Waldorf Astoria in Costa Rica,” says Hilton president and CEO Chris Nassetta. “Costa Rica is a fast-growing and highly sought-after destination that is an ideal place to introduce the world-class personal service of our Waldorf Astoria brand. We look forward to sharing our signature hospitality and creating unforgettable stays for our guests in this serene and beautiful location.”
Known as El Pueblo, the lobby will greet guests as a hub for relaxation and socializing and connect to a slew of F&B venues.
Additional amenities will include a holistic wellness facility that comprises a fitness center, movement studio, lap and thermal pools, and spaces for outdoor yoga. Wellness options will also include a luxurious cenote-inspired spa with eight treatment rooms and a trio of outdoor treatment rooms reminiscent of a treehouse. Nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces will also be featured at Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste.
