The second phase of renovations have wrapped at the Wine Country Inn & Cottages in St. Helena, California. Led by Jill Cole, managing principal of locally based interior design practice Cole Martinez Curtis & Associates, the update also coincides with the property’s rebranding under Kokua Hospitality.
Surrounded by acres of vineyards, the Napa retreat’s latest refreshes include facelifts to 10 guestrooms and suites, as well as the building’s exterior. Cole drew inspiration from the natural setting, employing a calm, elegant palette across the understated interiors. Subtle gray tones permeate throughout for a soothing effect, while textured and natural materials reference the change of the seasons. Enhancements to the lawn area will be completed in late spring 2018.
The first renovation phase was completed in 2017 and included a full redesign of the guestrooms and common areas inside the property’s Winery House. The Wine Country Inn & Cottages comprises 20 intimate guestrooms, four spacious suites, and five cottages. Eighty percent of all accommodations boast vineyard views.
