Showcasing floor-to-ceiling picture windows and dedicated to zero-waste programming, 123 Bolinas, a wine bar in Fairfax, California, has opened its doors. Co-founders Dominic Phillips, Jacquelyn Mahaney, and Peter Vizcaino set out to open a venue whose design reflected the owners’ philosophy: simple, clean, organic, and accessible. Designer Jeff Mahaney oversaw the build-out, imbuing the space with clean lines and warm tones. Reclaimed wood utilized in the furnishings brings the adjacent Bolinas Park indoors, while warm pendant lights provide a glow of intimacy amid peaceful, earthy tones. Peasant-style glasses provide a hearty feel to the experience, and vibrant artwork adds energy to venue, which seats about 45 guests.
