Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has announced this year’s recipients of the Platinum Circle honor:
- Michael Graves, Michael Graves & Associates, Princeton, New Jersey
- Dana Kalczak, Vice President, Design, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto
- Peter Remedios, President and Managing Principal, Remedios Studio, Los Angeles and Hong Kong
- Sven Van Assche, Vice President, Design, MGM Design Group, Las Vegas
A special award will also be given: The Manny Steinfeld Award will go to the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers for their philanthropic efforts on behalf of Hollywood Heart and Gifts in Kind; and the newly-established HD Visionary Award to NEWH, Inc., for their ongoing support of the hospitality industry through networking initiatives, educational programs, ad scholarship fundraising.
The Platinum Circle award was established nearly 30 years ago to honor leading figures who have contributed in significant ways to the hospitality industry: architects, designers, purchasers, and owner/operators.
Honorees will be celebrated at a gala cocktail party on Wednesday, May 18th, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, as a part of the 2011 Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo). For ticket information, visit www.hdexpo.com.
