The 104-room 21c Bentonville has started construction in Arkansas with a targeted opening date of 2013. Deborah Berke & Partners is collaborating with Little Rock-based firm Polk Stanley Wilcox on the design, which is modeled after the 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. The hotel’s focal point will be its 12,000-square-foot museum and event space, which presents curated, rotating exhibitions, dynamic installations, and live art events complemented by an outdoor sculpture garden. Other amenities include a restaurant that supports sustainable agriculture, a ballroom, and fitness facilities. The hotel is scheduled to open in January 2013.
