Mobilona LLC plans to construct a Space Hotel on Barcelona Island, Spain. With an initial investment projected at $1.9 billion, the hotel is slated to be Europe’s tallest hotel.
The 2,000 suites and residences will be equipped with immersive wall and surface displays providing panoramic impressions of the universe-which can be turned off for ocean views. A mall and a debuting zero gravity spa will also be available.
“Immersive displays inside Mobilona Space Hotel on Barcelona Island will provide guests with stunning views of some of the most remote galaxies in our universe,” says Jerome Bottari, Mobilona’s global CEO. “Hotel guests will also be able to participate in a space training to experience a form of weightlessness in a vertical wind tunnel.”
A multinational consortium managed by Mobilona will build Barcelona Island-a manmade island off the coast of Barcelona. Mobilona also plans to develop Mobilona Space Hotels in Los Angeles and Hong Kong with an estimated value of $6 billion.
