Design firm AB Concept has unveiled the completion of Hong Kong restaurant the French Window. Inspired by a French chateau and Gallic design, AB Concept blends nostalgia and modernity into the space. Lantern-style columns in wrought iron trim define the exteriors, along with vertical garden panels and modern lanterns paving the way along a promenade. The dim hallways of the entrance passageway allow diners to view the restaurant’s wine cellar, surrounded by a refined palette of cool gray, cream, and taupe tones.
Inside, a relaxed residential vibe permeates the space, home to ornate carpeting, Gallic-style furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows, decorative floor lamps, suspended lights with strong French detailing, pan chandelier, and mosaic floor tiles. "The French Window is a charming combination of modern textures and colors with a touch of French design, creating an atmosphere of relaxed and inviting elegance," says AB Concept founder and director Ed Ng. "Our goal has been to craft a restaurant that is upscale, not uptight."
