Accor has opened the Novotel Moscow City. Opening as the only hotel in Moscow’s international business center, the hotel marks the group’s fifth hotel in Moscow and its 16th in Russia.
“Russia and CIS are key regions for our group’s dynamic expansion,” says Yann Caillère, Accor CEO. “Our ambition is to reach a network of 50 hotels in Russia and CIS by 2016. We plan to open hotels in new countries such as Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Kirghizstan.”
Since the beginning of the year, along with the Novotel Moscow City, Accor has debuted the Mercure Rosa Khutor Sochi in Sochihost city of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Two other hotels are to open in Sochi before the end of the year, while a total of nine hotels are planned to open in the region by Q1 of 2014bringing Accor’s network to 27 hotels.
