Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach will debut a redesign of its 98 guestrooms and suites this fall.

Imagined by Isabel Tragash of Miami-based STA Architectural Group and the hotel’s ownership team, the new look will use cool, calming tones cued by the resort’s oceanfront location in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

”Our resort is an anchor of luxury hospitality in South Florida and we continually strive to elevate the guest experience year over year,” says Deborah Yager Fleming, vice chairman and principal of Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach. “The new guestrooms are yet another example of our dedication to truly exceeding expectations with a heightened level of comfortable luxury. [Co-owner] Stephanie Trump and I worked hand-in-hand with Isabel Tragash to conceptualize the perfect blend of luxury and practicality that is articulated through the careful selection of color palettes, fabrics, and furnishings, and would accentuate the breathtaking views.”
Satin draping will frame the windows and sliding glass doors that give way to oversized balconies. Each guestroom will feature a selection of traditional furnishings in a deep ebony color, finished in a high-gloss lacquer with inflections of bronze jewel tones, to contrast the muted fabrics. A contemporary bronze coffee table will center the room’s sitting area, bordered by a traditional wingback chair crafted from grey bouclé fabric with exposed buttons and modernized by clean lines.
