Aedas Interiors has completed work on Scoozi Italian Restaurant and Twenty-Six Bar at the Radisson Blu Liuzhou Hotel in China. With a design brief that the venues have a look distinct from the rest of the hotel, designers Greg Farrell and Katie Yeung created spaces rich in drama and sophistication. The dimmed elevator lobby is outfitted with backlit abacus-inspired panels, while grand velvet curtains reveal a sky-lit atrium lobby waiting area. Full-length wine displays line either side of the space while accentuating the tall double-volume eatery.

A shimmering beaded tent dropped from the atrium skylight ceiling is anchored by chandeliers hanging over a four-poster day bed with throw cushions in a central Bedouin setting. During the day, natural light floods the bright, polished dining areas, which transform into an intimate setting in the evening. Pale Staturio stone flooring contrasts with dark wood plank floors. Gold-leaf picture-less frames hanging over velvet curtain-lined walls add a sense of glamour, and wooden art frames adorn select window ledges.

Meanwhile, Twenty-Six bar and lounge showcases a distinctly darker palette, thanks to royal blue tones, dark timber, and a backlit onyx bar. Plush seating and a candlelight fireplace contribute to the moody ambiance.
