The Rittenhouse Hotel has debuted five new Park suites. Designed by New York-based Alexandra Champalimaud, they blend the hotel’s classic style with a fresh look.
Ranging from 450 to 1,330 square feet, the Park suites have a natural palette of oak wood floors and stained gray anigre millwork, wool carpets, vein-cut Eramosa marble kitchens, and silver travertine bathrooms. The traditional furnishings have touches of art deco and classic 20th century influence. Capturing the treetop view of Rittenhouse Square, the floor-to-ceiling windows and low windowsills are framed by silk draperies, textured wall coverings, and tactile fabrics.
Each master bedroom is anchored by a burnt oak four-poster king bed with Belgian sand linen fabric upholstery, while an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower boasts a separate silver travertine bathtub. All suites have custom mood lighting.
Carefully curated displays of books and artwork in the redesigned Gallery entry recall the history of Philadelphia. Combined with stained gray anigre millwork, inviting chartreuse leather chairs, and soft lighting, the redesign creates a sense of privacy in the entrance.

”We designed the five signature spaces to celebrate the wonderful views of the Square,” says Alexandra Champalimaud. “We were inspired by the balance between sophisticated sensibility and classic style found throughout the hotel, and we felt a responsibility to preserve this rich history, while offering guests a new experience.”
