Gallery Nightclub at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas has debuted, featuring the work of Amy Kim of Los Angeles-based AK DesignNETWORK. Relying on the beauty and inspiration of homes and studios of various artists, Kim channeled the likes of Cezanne, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Berge, and Alexander McQueen. “Gallery was designed to be seductive and mysterious,” Kim says. “We took a classic theme of the art gallery and added a twist of modernity to appeal to the artist in everyone.”
As such, she commissioned a commercial-style photo shoot to create original artwork for the club, while a custom-printed glass bartop and one-of-a-kind wallcoverings of French and Italian museums further accent the design. Meanwhile, an extravagant dance floor with ceiling performance nets and swings add a hint of whimsy. Each room, designed to expose a new secret, has a signature focus. “Gallery appeals to those with a love of intimacy, artistic sensibilities, and, of course, a bit of sexiness,” Kim notes.
