This year’s HD Americas, taking place September 16-17th at the Miami Beach Convention Center, will offer a wealth of opportunities for the hospitality industry-including site visits to discover the details behind two of the hippest hotels on Miami Beach.
Redbury South Beach
On Tuesday, September 16th from 1:30-3:00 p.m., explore one of sbe’s newest hotels, the Redbury South Beach. Designed by photographer and director Matthew Rolston in collaboration with Venice, California-based Avenue Interior Design, the hotel celebrates the spirit of the 1950s Rat Pack-era and the area’s mid-century Art Deco glitz. The 69 guestrooms are outfitted with a curated art collection highlighted by historic Fillmore Theater posters and archival images of Miami Beach and vintage-style record players. The hotel also features some of the Redbury brand’s signature elements, such as a red velvet opera curtain in the lobby and paisley wallcoverings.
Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach
Delve into the new Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach on Wednesday, September 17th, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. As the brand’s first U.S. property, the hotel offers a place of respite from the city’s energy. Italian designer Paola Navone preserved the original 1930s building’s Art Deco details, contrasting them with a contemporary feel and a palette of peppermint green and gray set against white marble and chrome.
