Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas’ has opened its third resort in China. Located at the foot of Mount Emei in the Sichuan Province, the Anantara Emei Resort & Spa is the first luxury international hotel in this corner of southwest China.
With a name that means “lofty,” Mount Emei is the highest of China’s four sacred Buddhist mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anantara Emei holds 90 guestrooms, 40 pavilions, and 20 villas-all with an Asian-inspired design and garden or lake views. Villas are also available with a private pavilion, along with a Jacuzzi bath or swimming pool.
Dining options include Jinyi and Cultivar-an all-day dining restaurant serving Chinese and European cuisines-as well as the lobby lounge, Xueji, and Yunshang Wine Cellar.
Additional amenities include a tropical outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, a fitness center, table tennis and outdoor tennis courts, and the Anantara Spa. The resort also offers 10 meeting and event venues, including a ballroom, boardroom, and four private Mahjong rooms.
