Cardinal Jules Mazarin was a 17th century Italian Renaissance man with a penchant for fine wines and diamonds. On December 28, Hotel Mazarin will open in New Orleans’ French Quarter with a goal of living up to its namesake in style and opulence. The 102-room hotel, housed in the former Saint Louis Hotel building, is lavishly appointed with gold leaf, rich woods, and a calming color palette in each of its updated guestrooms and public spaces.

On the ground floor, Patrick’s Bar Vin’s upscale decor is a perfect compliment to the adjacent tropical courtyard. The bar will serve a wide selection of fine wines that are sure to hold up to even the discerning tastes of Mazarin.
