HD Americas, the Hospitality Design Group’s intimate, Latin American industry-focused tradeshow, has announced architect Arthur Casas, founder of Studio Arthur Casas in São Paulo, Brazil, as the keynote speaker. Following in the footsteps of former keynote guests Michael Bedner, Trisha Wilson, Tony Chi, and others, Casas will provide a retrospective on his career and his unique aesthetic that has influenced many architects around the globe.
On Tuesday, September 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Miami Beach Convention Center, Casas will take the stage to discuss his take on modernism and how the “chaotic urbanism” of his native city drew him to the style he has applied to residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, as well as to furniture design.
Attendees will get an intimate look into the growth of hospitality development in South America from one of the originators. In addition to his projects in New York, Paris, and Tokyo, Casas will focus on the current booming metropolis of São Paulo and his work to take the city from a cluster of experimental styles to a refined contemporary look that marries Brazil design with international flavor.
