Built with 19-century brick and mortar, the Union Hotel in Brooklyn pays tribute to the factories and warehouses that transformed this landscape into a great metropolis. Featuring interiors curated by New York artist/designer Jordan Carlyle, the hotel has 43 guestrooms featuring high ceilings painted by fame graffiti artists, Egyptian cotton linens, penny-tiled bathrooms, deco chandeliers, and glass-walled showers. Guests can also retreat to the rooftop garden/lounge, offering Manhattan skyline views.
The historic Hotel Seville in Harrison, Arkansas, underwent a $3.5 million renovation to upgrade its 57 guestrooms and suites, along with public spaces. A dramatic lobby features soaring ceilings, terrazzo floors, and a wrought iron chandelier. Amenities include John Paul’s restaurant and the Terazzo Dining Room, available for weddings and meetings.
The Aggie in Davis, California, recently underwent a makeover. The hotel’s 33 guestrooms offer pillow-top mattresses and flatscreen TVs, while guest cottages feature sitting areas, private patios, kitchens, and hot tubs. The property also offers a business center and fitness room.
