The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis has completed a $1 million renovation to the Lobby Lounge and Bar. Designed around a rhythm and martinis theme, the new look infuses elegance with the renewed energy of a modern club.
San Francisco-based BAMO oversaw the renovations⎯⎯just the beginning phase of a $3 million revamp to later include the ballroom and restaurant. Enhancements began with gold leaf embellishments to the Lobby Lounge’s coved ceiling and the luxe-lacquer wall behind its mahogany bar.
Titanium gold granite tops the bar while brass accents frame the bar’s illuminated vellum front. Deco-inspired glass screens⎯⎯made in the Czech Republic⎯⎯were also introduced between columns within the bar, adding interest as well as veiled views.
Tufted leather settees, barrel-back lounge chairs, and mahogany cocktail tables furnish the space. Complementing a lattice-patterned carpet, the furnishings boast shades of russet red, deep blue, and slivery taupe. Redesigned to match the Lobby Lounge’s new look, the hotel’s Sushi Bar was enlarged. Modern artwork at the entrance reflects the new theme.
