Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund has opened, marking the debut of the brand’s urban resort concept in mainland China. Each of the 130 guestrooms captures views of Huangpu River through oversized windows, while some suites offer private pools.
F&B options include Western seafood outlet Oceans; Chinese restaurant Ming Yuan, featuring Cantonese-style cuisine and garden views; Tai Hei, featuring a Japanese sashimi and sushi counter; the Banyan Lounge; and rooftop bar Stars. Spanning three floors of the resort, the Banyan Tree Spa offers 11 treatment rooms, a salon, and nail bar.
