Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts is planning to convert the Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket in Thailand to Angsana Laguna Phuket when it takes over operations in June. Starting July 1st, Banyan will spend $30 million to upgrade all guestrooms, meeting facilities, the lobby, and restaurants. Upon reopening December 1st, the hotel will feature a destination beach club, a treehouse-inspired kids’ club, Rice Bar, spa, and retail gallery.
