Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts plans to launch a hot spring resort in Chongqing, China. Opening this summer, the Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei will feature private hot spring pools⎯⎯the first of its kind introduced in western China by Banyan Tree.
The 107-room resort boasts 48 retreats and 59 villas. Inspired by the start of the Minguo era, the resort is set in traditional folk houses with an open courtyard and foyer lined with bamboo. The contemporary interiors will feature dark wood furnishings and marble floors complemented by Shu embroidery, brocades, and lacquer art.
Among the five culinary venues are Jin Yao Xuan, Bai Yun, and Ming Yue⎯⎯the latter highlighted by themed dinner buffets. The Qing Feng lobby and Pool bar round out the F&B amenities.
The Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei will also include the Banyan Tree spa. Throughout the facility, seven indoor and outdoor hot spring pools sourced from local hot springs contain beneficial minerals such as calcium sulfate, magnesium, and potassium.
