Best Western International has added three new hotels to the brand’s West African portfolio-the Best Western Plus Ajuji Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, the Best Western Starfire Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria, and the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, Ghana. With eight properties open and five additional hotels in the pipeline, the group plans to have more than 1,300 rooms in West Africa.

The Best Western Plus Ajuji Hotel is the brand’s second Plus hotel in Nigeria and the first Best Western in the country’s capital city. Located in the new Gudu District near Abuja’s historic and cultural sites, the 104-room hotel has three halls and two meeting rooms.

The Lagos property includes 40 bedrooms boasting a contemporary design mixed with a touch of African elegance. The Takoradi hotel features 200 guestrooms, a cocktail lounge, a pub, nightclub, and a conference hall.
“We see West Africa as one of the global hotbeds for hotel development and these three exciting new properties are a major step forward in our efforts to expand throughout that region,” says Suzi Yoder, Best Western’s vice president of international operations.
