Hyatt Hotels has opened the Park Hyatt Siem Reap⎯⎯the 14th Hyatt property in the Southeast Asia region and the first Hyatt hotel in Cambodia. Formerly known as Hotel De La Paix, the hotel is reopening under the Park Hyatt brand following a 14-month renovation.

Redesigned by Bangkok-based interior designer Bill Bensley, the Park Hyatt Siem Reap features 108 contemporary guestrooms⎯⎯including 13 suites, four of which showcase private plunge pools. A white façade and dome-shaped ceiling have been designed to replicate the interior towers of Angkor Wat. Inspired by the Angkorian ruins and Cambodian culture, Bensley’s design reflects the dual nature of the exotic environment. Khmer-inspired contemporary art, wood floors, and Italian marble are used for the interiors to give a residential feel.
For the F&B outlets, the Dining room serves traditional Khmer and French provincial cuisine with warm tones and Italian marble, which opens out toward a banyan tree. Additionally, the hotel offers a retro-chic living room lounge and the Glasshouse Deli Patisserie.
The 2,615-square-foot spa is a zen-inspired retreat with a lap pool surrounded by gardens. A gallery for meeting and event space rounds out the hotel’s features.
“We are delighted to be opening the first Hyatt hotel in Cambodia and the first Park Hyatt in the Southeast Asia region, signifying our ongoing commitment to expansion in sought-after destinations where we know our guests are traveling,” says Larry Tchou, group president, Asia Pacific, Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
